Sickness

The class teacher plays an important part in the physical well-being of the children and several of our staff are qualified in First Aid. If there is a serious injury or illness, parents are contacted immediately.  To this end, parents are asked to complete an ‘emergency contacts’ form when the child is admitted to school. This includes phone numbers and addresses of parents’ places of work, together with relations and neighbours’ numbers. If we are unable to contact you the Head Teacher will act in loco parentis.

Vomiting/and or diarrhoea -National Health Service guidance requires children to be absent from school for 48 hours from the last episode of vomiting or diarrhoea.
